The Icester uses a 52 square foot sail, so if a Laser sail is not much bigger than, say, 60... it might work O.K. But the most important consideration is whether or not you can stay the mast... because if I remember correctly, the Laser is unstayed. Since an Iceboat does not readily spill wind like a softwater boat, stresses build much more rapidly, and much stronger, in the rig. Unstayed rigs can be snapped like twigs on an iceboat.
